The Stopford Group is a team of software and UX enthusiasts who are passionate about what they do and how they do it. We specialise in delivering quality software and user experiences to our customers ranging from the public sector to financial and fitness companies.
Due to a number of exciting new client wins and our big plans for expansion, we’re looking for a motivated Marketing Assistant to join our team.

PixelTree Media are part of the Stopford Group and are an award-winning UX design agency, helping organisations create web and mobile app experiences customers love using again and again.
The Role
As a member of our Sales and Marketing Team across both Stopford and Pixeltree, you will be at the forefront of communicating the value of our products and brand, while playing an important role managing our customer experience.
This role is varied, requiring strong written and verbal communication skills, great customer service skills and an ability to identify opportunities to improve our sales and marketing funnel and outcomes.
With responsibilities across multiple industries, the role requires harnessing multiple marketing channels and approaches, making it a great opportunity to learn a variety of approaches for reaching, nurturing and converting leads.
Days are not typical
Your role will be to help increase the awareness of our products and services, maintain customer engagement and ultimately help drive conversions (to name a few!):
- You’ll create blog content and graphics as per a content calendar
- You’ll distribute our monthly email newsletters
- You’ll maintain and expand on our training resources
- You’ll identify digital PR opportunities and execute campaigns
- You’ll monitor our SEO performance and work to improve rankings
- You’ll assist in planning and attending marketing events and conferences
- You’ll conduct general marketing admin including website management and marketing stock counts
- You’ll work alongside our external partners for marketing to deliver the best results
Experience / Key personal qualities
Experience is always desirable but what’s essential is an interest in marketing and communications.
We’re looking for someone who is open to learning new skills, self-motivated and can get stuck into the analytical side of marketing. With a wide range of marketing activities used, it’s a great opportunity for the right candidate to develop their skills and get experience working within a software and design agency.
Some of the following experience is beneficial but not essential:
- Office 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Analytics platforms (e.g. Google Analytics, social media analytics tools)
- Previous background in content and graphic creation (desirable)
- Background using Canva (desirable)
- Experience running events (desirable)
- Experience creating video content (desirable)
Personal qualities:
- High level of English and grammar knowledge
- Works well both in a team and individually
- Great interpersonal skills with colleagues and clients
- Ability to meet deadlines and keep calm under pressure
- Eager to learn new skills
- Great organisational skills
- Passion for marketing (interest in video and social content creation is a plus!)
Education:
- A-Level or above (Essential)
- A Marketing degree (desirable)
