Redcar and Cleveland Registrars Team Up With Stopford

We’re excited to announce our latest partnership with Barbara, Dawn and the Redcar and Cleveland registration team! 

Working with 59% of authorities in the north east of England, our latest partnership will see us work to deliver a range of online bookable services and help deliver new efficiencies for the entire team. 

 

The Challenge 

The Redcar and Cleveland registrars had set their sights on delivering more processes online to take further pressure off of their team.  

Having only had notices online at the time and wanting to cover more than 3,000 bookings they were taking manually for registrations alone, Barbara and her team were looking to see how they could best digitise parts of the service that were being repeated again and again. 

To do this, they felt they’d needed to switch to a system that could not only tailor online flows to their specific needs, but also have a robust diary system that could help them meet their efficiency goals.  

Having worked with our team in the past, Barbara and the team partnered with us with a view to implement a brand-new system, complete with online flows and service-specific customisation within just 1 month. 

 

The Solution 

To guarantee service continuity in such a short space of time, we immediately set to work understanding the team’s requirements, conducting calls to identifying existing services with online capabilities, and the customisation that would be needed as a priority.  

From there, we mapped out our project phases to ensure we hit essential functionality first and set out to expand online services thereafter.  

This meant the delivery of phase 1 – a highly customised diary system, online DRO-enabled notice bookings, Gov Notify email integration and Entra ID single sign on, within 4 weeks!

The Results 

Careful planning and close collaboration with Barbara and her team allowed us to deliver the project and conduct training with time to spare. 

With phase 1 complete, we’ll now be working towards creating new efficiencies with the Redcar and Cleveland team, delivering: 

  • Ceremonies booking and final ceremony payment 
  • Payment integration  
  • Digital notice displays to replace the traditional physical notice board
